Nobody can deny that using analytics to drive business improvement is more important now than it has ever been. Here at SAVO, we have been working to improve the analytics provided to organizations that use our software. With this in mind, we’re pleased to announce that the SAVO 12 Analytics Release is now live.

Here’s how it came about: last fall we invited 13 customers from a broad set of industries to participate in a live beta program. We provided access to a new set of reports giving increased transparency to activities in the system. For example, for each user or set or users, what assets have they consumed, rated, or commented on, and how often? Which assets are customized most frequently? And how do users collaborate to create new information? Other reports provided deep access to information on each and every asset in the system, from how it was tagged, described, rated to how much usage one asset received versus another.

Having been involved in many beta programs with other companies over the years, I can tell you the typical beta program involves limited customer access, lackluster participation, a smattering of feedback, and few changes actually making it to the final version of the software. The SAVO Analytics Beta could not have been more different (and positive) experience!

The day we went live, we measured an uptick in report usage driven by beta customers. We received so much feedback that we had to expand our feedback sessions, resulting in reams of notes providing useful ideas on both enhancements to the existing system as well as entirely new reports for the future (many of them we are working on now). Our customers care deeply about enabling their sellers–and want to use data to identify and repeat what works.

A few capabilities our customers really liked, and upon which we were able to improve upon, because of the active beta participation:

  • Interactivity of reports to drill down to specific details such as targeted groups of users or specific sets of assets and documents.
  • Ability to easily download details to spreadsheets and other desktop software
  • Being able to view summaries and trends over time ranges of interest
  • Tight integration within the SAVO application and ability to reuse report views

SAVO customers care as much about Sales Enablement as we do here at SAVO. For them it’s not a run of the mill application, but utterly mission critical. SAVO Analytics, our new reporting application, is truly the result of a joint collaboration with our customers and will absolutely improve the success of each and every one of our customers by enabling more informed and data-driven decisions.
